SESSION DRUMMER HELP

I know I must be missing something. I have SONAR X3.
I put a pattern successfully in bar 1. I stretched it, but it only plays the first bar. It pastes as 4 bars with only one bar of sound so I cut it down to 1 bar, tried copy and paste, and it looks like it pastes, but it doesn't make sound. What am I doing wrong?

OK the information seems to be there if I extend or paste, but it only plays one bar from whichever bar the cursor is on.

I assume this is a groove clip?  If it's not, you can make it one, then stretch it out - it would play as expected then.

(I don't recall the command to make it one right off and I'm not at the DAW).

A rack of noisemakers is not a definitive substitute for creativity. (though it does seem to help)

It's one of those samples by that drummer that comes w/Session Drummer. I tried to stretch it and only the first bar plays.

Ugh. I was putting this information into the audio track instead of the MIDI. So now I'm having fun, but before I get flustered, how do I convert the MIDI info to audio? I've seen some videos but they must be older or newer because the layout doesn't look like mine.
