SETTING UP A GOOD SONG-TRACK MIX

Heres a curve ball question maybe , I started playing around with the mixing end using right now STUDIOVERB2 and MULTIVOICE CHORUS got some interesting effects and sound.
Before doing all that I started a new p5 Project and imported my music in WAV forum and then tried mixing in alittle bit of reverb and this Multivoice Chorus .

Would I be better off mixing each instrument track and then exporting into a WAV file then open up a new P5 Project then add vocal tracks, any suggestions on this part of it?
