I received that email also but I can't remember buying it, even though the email said I did.  I can't find any record of the purchase and I don't see it on my system or backup drives so not sure why I received the email. I really thought AudioMidi.com didn't exist anymore so not sure what is going on but I am a suspicious person by nature.

Not really interested in the plug but if I thought I could get the full install 64bit version for $10 I would probably spring for it.

Yeah, I don't think that would happen and it wouldn't be the right thing to do anyway. I'll just let this one pass, keep my $10 and clean conscience.

I got it and have sfx pro, so it ain't just a come on for new users.

It is a good program - it essentially is a bunch of effects you can chain together and some rather ... eclectic presets (about 1000 of 'em).  I mostly use it for sound effect design, but it works for more mundane effects, too.

for $10, it is a no-brainer for sure, even if you only use it for a few of the presets in some songs.

Anybody who passes this up for ten bucks is daft.  I recall when the original no-brainer came out for $20.  The consensus was that it was a very innovative piece of gear ... too bad it was 32-bit only.  I bought it anyway just because it was so unique and intriguing.  Very glad now I did, even if so far it's only sat on my hard drive gathering virtual dust.
For those wondering just what it is, picture a Reaktor geared to FX that can be learned in a couple of hours.

SFX is a good collection and the presets are worth $10 just for the ideas in it.

I've owned SFX Machine forever... it's a fantastic sound design tool. Just playing with the presets will provide hours of inspiration.

FWIW, I received a similar offer from the developer to upgrade to the x64 version... and I will be doing so!

Great tool, great developer... at $10 it is an insanely good deal!!!

I went ahead and purchased the SFX machine 64bit upgrade and the Spectral machine (still only 32bit) and they seem to be well worth the money. Hoping for a 64bit version of Spectral machine someday.

I got spectral while I was there, too.  $13.  Except in 32 bit it doesn't open - the little circle spins and spins.  Anyone have an idea?

No problems here using Spectral and Sonars bit-bridge. The first time I opened it I had a problem because it opened the authorization window behind Sonar and I couldn't see it. Minimized Sonar, entered my license number, and clicked authorize. Everything worked fine after that.

It happens much later in the process when you put the promo-code in. IIRC, I placed my order, paid with Pay-pal, then it took me back to Share-it which is where I put the code in and the price was adjusted. Checked my Pay-pal account today and everything looks correct.

Some replies seem to be implying the 64-bit version is available for 10 dollars by buying this upgrade without having the original 32-bit purchase?  Is this right?

A couple of comments from the publisher of SFX Machine:

Apparently audioMIDI wasn't able to separate out the SFX Machine orders, so the mailing went out to their entire "no brainer" list - sorry for the confusion. They did the mailing for us, but did not give us the list. There was no selling of the mailing list, at least so far as I know.

Also, apparently our payment provider, ShareIt.com, just redesigned their customer information page, and the Coupon Code field no longer appears! Not great timing... However, if you click on "Add to Cart" instead of "Buy Now", there is a Coupon Code field there. If you accidentally ordered without entering the Coupon Code, email me at  and I'll make it right.

Spectral Machine is 32-bit only. If it's not working for you, let me know and I'll refund that portion of your order.

Had to go with this one also, even if just for the 60's tremolo and some of the related mods. Extremely sweet sequenced after a 70's Rhodes plug.  Trouble I'm having is excess latency on some of the settings. The psychoacoustic pan (think that's what it was called) was the no brainer as I tried to run a test midi file thru it at work. Got back and ran it live on a fast quad core and the latency was unacceptable.

Still worth the $10 investment. Anyone else dealing with latency issues or figured out a fix? Decent plug except for the processing delay time in some of the better settings.

It's just a function of the effect settings, not the processing delay or how fast your machine is. Some of the presets have very long delay times. Sometimes these are necessary to attain the desired effect, but often you can just lower the delay time slider(s) on the main screen.

    Thanks Earl,

Will try to tighten up the settings. The psychoacoustic pan has a nice ambience and would like to get that setting to respond within a few millisec.
