SFZ Tools

This isn't for everyone...

If you're one of those people who has an idea about the SFZ format and edits their own SFZ definition files by hand, you may be interested in the SFZ Tools for UltraEdit that I am making available.

You can get the tools (they're free) and read more about what the tools can do for you here: http://noisesculpture.com/sfztools.html  The documentation explaining how to use the tools is set out in the Read This First note included within the zip file.

If this is of use to a wider group of people, then my intention is to turn the tools over to the community.  Hopefully this will encourage people to help fix problems, but also to come up with useful stuff such as scripts and macros.  So if it is of interest and you want to get involved/take over, you just have to say.

Enjoy

Simon

cool, I might port them to crimson editor.. as well that's a free editor and is probably as powerful as UE.

that tag list included in the zip is for the colour / syntax thing right?

    Wrong.

The file called sfz.uew is for the highlighting.  The two tag list documents are to drop the opcodes into SFZ definition files with the click of a mouse.

Excellent!  Can't wait to go home and try this.  I abandonded my idea of making the XML Schema and XSL SFZ Transform SFZ for the time being (too time consuming).  But this looks useful.
