S-Gear and Sonar
I think I understand the why, but I've never used a mono DI track with an amp sim, so I'm wondering if I am missing something simple. I can get S-Gear (and likely this is true for Guitar Rig, et al) to work with a mono track only by putting it on a stereo bus and outputting the track to that bus. If I try to DI into a stereo track (left input) and S-Gear is in the FX bin of that track, the signal is wonky. Is there any way I can get S-Gear to recognize the signal like it does in standalone mode when I feed it only the left input? Regards, Dan

Dan, maybe I'm not clear on what you're trying to achieve, but I just create a mono audio track and insert S-Gear into the f/x bin or at the top of the Pro Channel. I end up with a mono track. Doesn't this work for you?

Yes, that does work, but I want the stereo output of S-Gear. Is the only way to do this within Sonar is to Feed the mono DI track to a stereo bus? Regards, Dan

When you run S-Gear standalone, it outputs stereo even though I am only feeding the left channel through the DI. I wanted to achieve the same thing in Sonar, but I'm not sure it's possible without using a bus or an AUX track. Regards, Dan

Never mind, I figured it out. I swapped input channels and everything works as expected now. Sometimes the simplest things... Dan
