SHIFT for Fine Adjust on automation envelopes

Just what the title says. Replicate the fine adjust behaviour for knobs and sliders on envelopes. It can be really tricky to do small adjustments without scaling the track way up.

Totally for this idea. There are a few thing about Sonar that are currently so fiddly and absurdly tiny to click on (pro channel arrows) or easy to input a large number when only a small amount is wanted (envelopes) that I sometimes I think I am playing minesweeper win95.

Good idea, so another +1 from me.

However, I have to say that despite being an obsessive automation tweaker I've never found this to be a problem. That's simply because I almost never move nodes in less than 1dB increments. Smaller changes are just, well, being overly-obsessive. You think you hear an improvement after a half-decibel change, but it's an illusion.

Whenever I want to move a node precisely, I set its value manually via the Properties dialog. I realize that this wouldn't be practical for recorded automation, though. It works for me because all my automation is manually created, so a track will typically have only a few dozen nodes, not the thousands of points that recorded automation yields.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
