SI DrumKit with MC4 issues

When I open SI DrumKit as a stand alone program, the pads on my MIDI interface work beautifully and I am able to pound out a beat pretty easily but when I open SI DK as a soft synth in MC4 there is a delay and Im unable to record anything even approaching a competent beat.

I cannot find any docs or tutorials for Studio Insturments at all and there is no help function in the program. Can I program SI DK as a stand alone and import the drum tracks into MC4?

Im using Windows 7 64bit with 8 gigs of RAM and 1 TB disc. M-AUDIO MOBILE PRE USB and M-AUDIO Axiom 25 MIDI controller.

I understand you get what you pay for, but Im just looking to notebook demo some songs to bring into a studio whith someone at the board who knows what they're doing and even a $99 software bundle should have SOME functionality for its target doemographic

Okay, never mind. It was my buffer size.

I still wish I could find some docs for Studio Insturments. The "tutorial" on you tube is definately a little lacking.

Id also still like to know if SI is programmable though. Can I use the four pads in the bottom left corner to program my own beats and fills? That would be cool.
