SI Tempo adjustment

I know the answer to this question must be simple and probably has been posted, but I cant find it.
How do I adjust the tempo or a drum or bass track once I've inserted it from studio instruments, or does this have to be done before I insert it?

Win 7 Dell intel Core i3, 2.40 ghz, 6gb RAM, 64bit OS, Sonar X3-Producer, M-Audio Fast Track, Nady SMPS-1X Condensor Mic.

Adjust the Tempo in the transport control.
SI, and most other synths, will follow it.
Audio track will not follow the tempo setting, so it's best to set this where you want it before you record any audio tracks.
