SI instruments. Auto pitch?

I'm just now learning about SI Instruments.
I have a song with audio guitar and vocal tracks.
I tuned the SI Bass to the key, threw down a few SI Bass loops and stretched them to fit the Verse, chorus and bridge and got set to figure out how to work out the chord changes.
Maybe it's late or something but the bass line sounds like it's following the chord changes automatically!?
Is this true? If so, that's amazing... but how the heck does it know?

I haven't used it so am not entirely sure. But I believe you can input pitch markers in the project timeline (just like tempo markers I think) and then tell groove clips will follow these.

    Thanks

Yes that's what I was expecting, but it seemed to do it by itself??
