SI-Strings Inaudible with MIDI Keyboard not Soft keyboard???

When I use SI-Strings it works fine if I use my mouse to trigger the keyboard on screen. When I use my MIDI keyboard, the volume level is barely audible to the human ear. I have to stack up a few instances of a boost plug-in just to hear what I'm doing. Any idea why this might be happening and what to do? P.S. Not having any other soft synth problems. Normal volume, playability on all other plug-ins. Thanks in advance

Maybe the reason can be detected by recording one note from your midi keyboard onto that track and then examining the event(s). Is it a single note event with a suitably high velocity? Has the event been doubled, tripled, or more (multiple channel output from your keyboard)? Can you enter a similar note by hand into the track and get the same or different results?
