Hi James and Larry - As I've mentioned elsewhere, I have been out of touch for a while and it's taking me some time to catch up. Good thing I arrived back when I did or I would have missed this gem! This is delicious! That guitar pattern really drives this piece. Reminiscent of the Modern Folk I used to listen to back in the 60's and 70's and particularly Pentangle. But this piece takes that style to a whole new level of excellence. The performance is stunning, the creative concept outstanding. But that is always the SMB! Wonderful.

No problem brother! Well yeah, keeping things simple is always a plus. Sometimes you lose the feel when you try to do too much...kinda like 4 cooks trying to make soup in the same pot. LOL!
 
I think you do keep interest in this...however, try this for me and see if you hear what I hear.
 
Click on your link, allow it to load, and then randomly press somewhere in the locator part. You'll notice that just about always, it will land on the same note or the same passage. This is not a bad thing....but in my own creations, I find that anything repeating for over a minute starts to sound a little too much like maybe I just jammed instead of wrote...know what I mean? I'm not implying that here on your tune....I'm just saying that though we can keep interest with a progression (Jeff Evans has a good drone song up that stays on one note yet totally changes atmosphere every once in a while) it's nice to add a few little changes to further enforce the mood you have created as well and give the listener some highs and maybe even low points.
 
It's definitely a killer piece bro...please don't take what I'm saying the wrong way. :) I just think even if you would have kept the same thing going and changed chords or modulated that it would have helped it a bit. But there are no rules that state you ever need to do that and my listening experience on this tune was a good one. It just that sometimes those additional movements or chord changes we can add in, further paint the picture and mess with our moods more...if that makes any sense? :)
