[SOLVED] Addictive Drums 2 Causing Sonar Crash

I made some songs using AD2, which I've been using for over a year. Now, I'm unable to load them. Here is the error dialog:

As you can see, it's related to the Cloud Sync. I've uninstalled the XLN installer, reinstalled it, and have been working with the folks over at XLN to try and solve the problem. Try this, try that. Nada.

Anyone got any ideas?

I don't see your error dialogue.

The "Cloud Sync" reference is significant.  Have you stored the AD samples in your Cloud?  How were your projects saved (per project folders, CWB if they're still available)?  Was the full project data saved in your cloud, or just the project files, with the WAVs elsewhere?

Also, 8Gb of RAM SHOULD be enough to run most projects, but AD can load a lot of samples.  What else do you have running, both within and outside of the project?  You could be overtaxing your system.  Just a thought...

It's the graphic in my post.

I don't use the "cloud." Everything is saved on a dedicated hard drive, each song in its own folder, with samples, MIDI files, etc.

I've got 32 gigs of RAM. I don't run anything else except maybe Sound Forge or a Cakewalk Help page.

Go to Edit Profile. Under Additional Options, make sure “Don’t show image in posts” (Speed Options) is unchecked. You might need to log out and log back in for the change to take effect.

Here's XLN's response on how to fix the crash:

    Hi Terry,

Sorry for the delayed answer. It looks like some of your files might be stuck with an older version. Lets try and delete those and let the Online Installer download new ones.

     1. Search your computer for "Addictive Drums 2.dll" and delete all files with that name
     2. Run the XLN Online Installer and let it repair your installation. This will ensure that only the correct plug-in file is left on your computer.

Please let us know how it goes.

     Best regards,
     Martin Carlén

    Cross my fingers.
