(SOLVED) DASHED---LINES ON COPYS--------

This is probably a setting I hit by mistake??

But now whenever I select and make a copy my copy and original have dashed lines surrounding the clips?

Like: -------- never seen it before ...What did I do?

That usually indicates that they are "linked" and related in ways that make editing effective if you want to change some aspect globally.

If they are unlinked then you don't get the dashes and they are independent free standing copies that can be further manipulated without effecting the other examples.

Linking is usually a option in the copy paste dialog or drag and drop dialogs.

Mike is correct.  Usually means your "copy/paste" operation was set as "link to original clips" option.  I can't remember exactly how that looks off the top of my head, though.  Let me check when I get into the studio if no one answers you before then!

    THANKS!

I did indeed solve this by going to the 'options' tab "drag and drop options".

The 'options' tab is near the 'MULTIDOCK' where it shows: 'View' - 'Options' - 'Tracks' - 'Layers' - Clips' - Midi' - 'V-Vocal'

I do not know how or when I inadvertently set things to "Link clips" but I did!

    Thanks again for the responses,
