[SOLVED] Dimension Pro no more avalaible
Installing Dimension PRO happens that all the install sequence goes until the end, but then any .exe or dll is present in no location. Tried: 1) clean Install 2) install from file or CW center 3) cleaned Windows register 4) tried two different serial Numbers. 5) always no antivirus or antispam active Any idea?

little more info:
you mean you have looked for it in your program files directory / VST plugins ?
or you mean your not seeing it in the plug in menu ?
if that's the case, reset/rescan your plug ins.

I mean that after the installation NO DimensionPro exe or dll are present. Installation procedure ends with no problems. But the dimension Pro ( 32 or 64) exe or dll files are not present into the desidered folders. They are not present at all and anywhere.
I really can't understand why!!!

have you set your Windows Folder options to "Show hidden folders" ?
not sure if that would be the case but my suggestion is to re install it and this time take note of the directory they are going to (is this the default directory ? (Program files/cakewalk/VST plugins) ?
default installation or are you storing these somewhere else ?
also remember to install D Pro as administrator.
Right click/Run as administrator.

Jus to be clear. Dimension .exe files are not placed in the "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Dimension Pro" folder.
They are in the "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Dimension Pro" folder.
Goofy, if you ask me.

Thank you everybody. Sorry if I can't explain very well. The .exe or .dll files simply are invisible. They are not in any of the well known location, that you suggested to check. I'm a long time (cw6) happy user of CW daws and I know these very well . I only see that in the list of programs is possible to uninstall Dimension Pro, even if it's not actually present. This seems to me like an Antivirus behavior but during the installation Karpersky was always switched off. Moreover, to avoid any problem, in the list of scanning exclusions I included D-pro installer.

Already tried both the online than the offline installation with same result.
Btw I'm going to try from DVD (sonar X1) and then eventually upgrade. I really didn't think to this possibility.

DPro v1.5 is bundled with X1 Producer. DPro may be on a separate disk in the X1 set with its own installer. I do not have the disks opting for the download version instead. It is the same version of DPro bundled with Platinum. The only thing you may need are the expansion packs from the link I posted above. You can tell if the expansion packs are installed be looking in the DPro program browser. The expansion packs install into separate folders in the browser.

Default installation: are you installing D pro to the same hard drive to the "Default Location". Or are you installing it to somewhere else on your hard drive ? Platinum last upgrade.
Default location for the program, samples loaded and present on different hard disk.
Still not tried to load from CD.

Partially SOLVED!
CD installation was successful and now I have the 64bit VST working.
The registration doesn't work because cw notifies that I have a wrong reg. Number. I'm running as administrator.

You should be able to use the serial number/registration code pair that came with either X1 or Platinum. Both should be listed in your account. The serial numbers should start with CWDM150. Run the stand alone as administrator to register.

Looks like the version you have may be outdated (or your serial number is not matched to that version).
Forgive me if you already answered this, bu have you tried manually downloading Dim Pro from your account?
Also, the usual rules apply (Run as Administrator, disable antivirus). I would also reboot the system afterwards.

FIrst of all, thank all of you for the very kind and useful support.
This was solved installing the early version from original X1 CD. The serial used is the latest on my account page and registration was OK. After installation I upgraded to 1.5.5 from downloaded file.
Working fine now!
