[SOLVED] My internet connectivity - hope we don't have rats in the attic

My connectivity has been dodgy for the last few days.

I thought it was my DSL modem (it was nine years old). Replaced it and all of it's cables (to hub and to phone line). Same problem.

I may maintain connectivity for hours on end or 15 minutes. When it drops the DSL indicator light on the modem is solid. The Internet light on the modem is nearly solid (it doubles as the Rx indicator) and the Lan light is nearly solid (it doubles as the Tx indicator), yet all three computers connected to the modem via the hub lose connectivity.  The drops may last two minutes or 10.

Next test will be to replace the hub.

Update: It was the telco, not the ISP or the home cabling.

Best  of luck to you in getting that functional again. The hub seems the next logical place to look. I thought it seemed your post count was suffering slightly.

I lost my internet a few weeks ago I was in the back yard with a skid loader digging....we kind of knew what might have happened. It felt good to get it back.

Forgot to mention, the ISP says the circuit is good as does Verizon (my telco).

My connectivity has been dodgy for the last few days.

The drops may last two minutes or 10.

That's at the least, 5 drops per PC in post count .

Update: About an hour ago, while I was away, The Lovely Lady reported two short loses within 20 minutes. She said they were very short. No outages in the last hour. Not that one hour is any indication.

    Can't do it right now.

If we reboot the interwebs I might have to be productive or something.
