SOLVED -- New (and first!) 64-bit machine -- can't install past 8.3.1 update....
Greetings:
I finally joined the full-on 64-bit world but have not joined the X1-X3 world yet. So I loaded Sonar 8 64-bit fine, and all the updates through 8.3.1 (I believe it was).
But when I got to 8.5.1 (and the other 8.5 updates, just to try) they all were rejected with a dialog box that said Sonar could not find the "required version of the program on this system" and that I should "install the correct version to this use this patch"
I thought maybe I have a 32-bit patch (even though 8.0.1-8.3.1 asked if I was updating 32- or 64-bit), so I downloaded the only available patch. I got the same message.
So I'm stymied at this point. Any insights would be greatly appreciated (and I'd contact CW but 8.5.3 is no longer supported on the Support portal).
Again, thanks,
Steve
EDIT: I realized I hadn't loaded the separate 8.5 files. D'oh! I'll try that first. Possible pilot error.
EDIT #2: Yeah, pilot error. Working great now.
