{ SOLVED } One of my computers does not display what my pics look like

Hi guys , I need some computer help . Hopefully it involves a simple fix ...
 
One of my computers does not display what my pics and track icons look like.
I generally like to add track icons as my tunes start taking shape

To get to that point I have to deal with this type of preview while in Cakewalk

it is even the same view w my pic folder

 
I have toggled the preview thumbnail check box and even tried a command prompt approach ...no love yet
It is my guess that it is a Windows setting not a Cakewalk thing
Does any one here know if there is a simple fix for this ?

My options are set like below.  I think Icon is important for the list, and of course Preview for the pane will get you a better look for the selected item

I had to do one more step to my folder options after what you showed me to get it working ...
 
old preff under folder options where the pics did not show

 
once I unchecked the box and saved it , this is what I get

 
Now things are OK
