[SOLVED] Process->Find/Change / Note Duration BUG?

I had this topic with no solution and realized that apparently Process->Find/Change is not working properly.
All durations become the minimum value.

  1. Original Notes:
  2. Search, only notes:
  3. Replace:
  4. Result:
All the notes were 100 ticks incorrectly.

In this case, I want all notes to have a minimum duration of 100 ticks and a maximum of 5:200. That is, notes below 100 should be "stretched" to 100 and notes above 5:200 should be cut to 5:200.
All other notes should remain unchanged.

Am I doing something wrong?

You need to do it in 2 passes

On the first pass, in your "find" box, you need to specify a minimum duration of 0 and a maximum of 100
Then run the replace dialog with 100 in both minimum & maximum

On the second pass, find will be minimum of 101 and an unlimited maximum
Replace will be 5:200 in both boxes

Second pass you want 5:201 for minimum (to find anything longer than 5:200) and 2236962:127 for maximum.  And yes you must do two passes.

The notes to be unchanged should not be selected (the "Search" dialog of the pair), otherwise they will be changed. So run Search/Replace once for durations 0-100, setting the "Replace" length to 100-100, then again for 5:200 - maximum, setting the "Replace" length to 5:200-5:200.

Looks like what is happening is the selected length range 0-2236962:1xx is being arithmetically collapsed to 100-5:200. All your notes are extremely short compared with 2236962:1. so they are all mapped to 100. For example, in order for one of your notes to be mapped to 5:200 with your Search-Replace parameters, it would have to be 2236962 beats long. In order to be mapped to 101, a note would have to be 456:502 long.
