[SOLVED] Project5 cannot output to M-Audio Delta 44
I recently installed Project5 on my Win7-64bit PC, which already has Sonar 8.5.3 and X1 installed.
I have two audio cards:
1) M-Audio Delta 44 (for making music)
2) ASUS Xonar DX (for everything else)
Sonar can use either card. However, Project5 only works with the Xonar; it cannot use the M-Audio Delta 44.
When I set Project5's audio output to the M-Audio Delta in either WDM or ASIO mode and restart Project5, I don't hear anything on the Delta, although the volume meters in Project5 show that signals are being sent. Also, in ASIO mode, when I click on the "ASIO" button, I don't get the Delta's ASIO control panel like I do in Sonar. If I try using the Delta in DirectSound mode, it crashes Project5.
The Xonar output (WDM) works fine. Its ASIO sounds distorted, but I'm not worried about that, since I don't use the Xonar for making music. The ASIO button works fine for the Xonar.
I am using the latest M-Audio drivers, and since they work fine with Sonar (and other apps), I'm thinking the problem lies with Project5.
Has anyone else had problems getting Project5 to work with M-Audio cards? Could it be my 64-bit Windows 7 system which is confusing things?
Any suggestions?
