[SOLVED] Subdestroyer 1 in Kingston Destroyed!

Kingston is the 2nd update from Cake that has produced some unusual issues in Plt for me. It seems - although I haven't tested extensively - that the soft synth delay issue from JP has been fixed along with the stalled VST scanning on the WAVES plug-ins. YAH! But oh, suddenly, my Subdestroyer 1 recent plug-in purchase from Plug-in Boutique, doesn't work. All the modules in the Pro Channel appear overloaded - showing red in EQ, Comp etc. Turning down the output in the sub doesn't do anything. No sound at all. Trying the VST 2 version just creates an audio overload white noise.

As I have a project that needed this sound/sythn -didn't have the time for alternatives - I had to again roll back to the ever faithful Ipswich, which continues to be the most stable for me...although I getting a Plt stopped working on occasions in the Start Screen and then selecting load other files.

So that's 2 months of paid for updates that don't work effectively on my platform or that I am unable to use without issues. It was all good up to JP and I was starting to like these monthly updates until the problems started. If I renew next year, then that means I'll be paying to stay on Ipswich until issues are fixed, which might not occur until some future unknown date. Perhaps we should only pay for those updates that work?

I'm liking Ipswich for the most part though, so I'm not saying I'm abandoning Sonar or anything. I just want to be able to successfully use the updates I've paid for without issues...ideal world I suppose. :-(

    Hi Fabio,
Sorry to hear you're having problems with Sub Destroyer in Kingston. I've contacted the developer, but in the meantime, can you tell me if Sub Destroyer works correctly in a new project? If so, then it might be project specific, in which case please would you PM me a copy of the project?
    Thanks,
    Ben

Hi Ben. I haven't tried it on a fresh project and I'm back on Ipswich as I mentioned. Also, I'm still working on the project with the SD, so it would mean updating and then trying it and then rolling back and that's again time-consuming as I've just gone through it already.

Leave it with me for a time and I'll get back once I'm done with the project I'm using it on...actually I have it on another project as well, so I guess I should try that as well.

    Thanks for responding.

OK, no rush. I've already contacted the developer. Hopefully we can figure out the problem between us. Let me know when/if you get chance to try it in Kingston again.

Hi again Ben. Just wanted to let you know the latest update for some of the VST soft synth issues also solved the Sub dropout/distortion issue I was experiencing. Great work and I can finally start using the recent features like upsampling.

    Cheers.
