[SOLVED] What happened to side chaining? (HINT: It's the KClip)

After updating to 9/2016 I haven't been able to use side chaining in a project. If I try to use Sound Radix Surf EQ or DMG Essence it will freeze Sonar as soon as I set the send and try to start playing. It will just halt and not do anything until I try to do something else and it will tell me the program is not responding and I tell the program to quit/crash.

Anybody else?

EDIT 10/10: Now that the 2016.9.01 fix gives us back the crash reports it's easy to pin point the problem: The Karzog KClip screws up the side chaining in Sonar --- at least in this one project.

Any more KClip users having this problem?

Does this happen with any of the Cakewalk sidechain enabled plugins (e.g sonitus Compressor) and do you have load balancing enabled?

    It's odd.
    A) With the load balancing on, side chaining the 3rd party plugins will crash Sonar when trying to start playing.
    B) With the load balancing off, side chaining the 3rd party plugins will lit both the play and pause buttons yet it won't play and won't crash Sonar (you have to end it manually).
    C) Side chained, Cakewalk MB will play yet it won't use the side chain input (like it were silent).
    D) When inserted a plain buss-to-buss send, it halted and crashed Sonar like in A).
    Whoa?!

    Hey Jyri,

Are you starting from a blank project? What build of Sonar are you on (see the about screen Help->About)?

If you could tell me the steps from a blank project so I can reproduce this and fix the problem it would be much appreciated.

    Thank you!

Yeah we are unable to repro this case. Does this happen in all projects for you or a specific project?
If anyone else is having a similar issue with side chaining please let us know. A repro project would be useful as well.

What do you mean by the KClip, does this mean a muted clip (k being the shortcut)?

I've used KClip Pro (attenuation/mastering) on a recent project with No Problem (sidechain), I'll try other possibilities.
