SOLVED!! ----> Problem Saving Type 1 Midi File

**** There were a number of SysxBank Events in Track 1 that caused Track 1 to compress on a "Save As -  Midi Type 1" file.  Used Sonar Event List to delete these Events and file exported and worked !!!!! ****  (Sonar needs a highlight feature on the Event List to delete multiple events instead of deleting each event individually though. )

I am having a significant issue trying to "Save As" a Midi Type 1 file.  If I save it as a .cwp file and re-load it all tracks play as they should.  When I save the file as a Midi Type 1, Track 1 compresses on the timeline.

Here is what I do:

1. I "Open" a Midi Soundtrack file (includes a number of songs) in Sonar X3.  I can play from the start or any song in the file under Sonar X3 without a problem.
2. In the middle of the soundtrack, I "Split" the start and end of a song in the cwp project.
3. I highlight all of the split tracks and then "Copy" .
4. I create a New project file with the 16 Channel Midi Template.
5. I "Paste" all of the tracks into the new Project.
6. I "Save" it as a .cwp file and when reloaded it will playback without a problem.  Track 1 plays with proper timing.
7. I "Save As" a Midi Type 1 file and Close it.
8. When I "Open" the saved Midi Type 1 file, Track 1 is compressed on the Timeline..
9. If I check the Event File the same note in the cwp file is at 25:05 and in the saved Midi Type 1 files it is 21:08.  Channels 2 thru 16 are fine.

Any help would be appreciated,

Doug
