SOLVED- keystrokes for "selection" and nudge

This afternoon, i have a small window of time to get some work done for a client.
Here's what i need to know:

How do I select everything from the now time to the end of the (huge) project?
The keystroke alt/shift/f6 does nothing for me

How do I nudge a selected area in small increments forward and backward in time to sync something perfectly?

Thanks!!!!!

Doesn't CTRL + A work? I've just tried it and it works for me.

I use num pad 1 to nudge back and num pad 3 to nudge forward. You can change the increment amount in preferences

    cheers

If you don't want to select everything but just from the Now time to the end, Ctrl+A to select all, then click+drag in the timeline from the now time to the end.

For Nudging, choose Process > Nudge to do your settings.

ctrl A selects ALL.  I want to position the now time in the middle somewhere, and select everything from that point to the end.
    sorry if i wasn't clear

click drag is how i usually do it, but in this case, the project is so large, it just isn't practical, easy, or advisable.
    It's a feature length film.

There is a comand/keystroke for this, I know I've done it before.

Doesn't anyone know it?    Did I dream it?

In any project that is larger than the track window when zoomed all the way out, it's not practical to click and drag a large selection- say from 30:24, to the end at 74:31
    - it's not aways easy to precisely choose the initial click position, especially when zoomed all the way out.
If zoomed in, when you drag off screen for the rest of the selection, it can take a LONG time to reach your destination!

The way to do this is to:
    1.  go to Edit/Select/From=Now
    or
    2. Ctrl F6
option 2 is not working for me, but i could no doubt fix it in the key bindings editor.
