SOLVED - mp3 exporting quieter than yesterday

I was playing around with some mixdown plugins today on a current project, and could not get the resulting mp3 export to the same level as the past mp3's that I exported a couple of days ago.

I thought that it was something I had done in the current project...however, when calling up previous projects and exporting, all resulting mp3's are at a lower level then yesterday.

I am thinking I may have inadvertently done something to cause this...aud.ini/preferences.

Anyone else ever experience this or have any suggestions?

Did you remember to set your master fader to "0" (final sound card fader) in addition to your master bus fader?

    Thanks for the reply.

It looks like my problem was a result of my over-use of the Slate FG-X plugin in last weeks sessions.   Yeaterday's quieter mp3 was because I reduced the Gain on the FG-X.  Audibly, I didn't hear a huge difference within Sonar, but the resulting mp3 was much quieter when played in Winamp (and compared to last weeks the mp3s played in Winamp)

Today I did an mp3 export of a single audio track in Sonar, without any plugins, which peaked at -3.2db. When I imported and soloed this mp3 into the same project, the peak for this track was also -3.2db...as it should be.

    So it was user error...again!
