[SOLVED]Hard drive performance

Hello,

According to the performance indicator in the control bar, my hard drive is functioning around 75% at start up with only a blank project loaded... It's a SATA 7200.  The CPU indicator is about 10-15%

Any ideas why?

Edit:  just figured it out... its the disk space meter... duh... read manual.

The bar graph to the right of the disk image in the performance module shows the amount of space used on the disk where the project file is located. Is this what is showing 75%?

    Scook,

Yes, it's the horizontal bar graph...

Time to thin the project herd of useless plug in tests and/or reorganize I guess.  Archive and move older ones to a different drive

Sage advice, but then I would never do any recording or mixing--time is not on my side. wink
