[SOLVED]How to get stereo in headphones when recording mono vocal?

I can't seem to figure this one out..

    A mono source is by definition, mono.
     
    Where is it appearing ion your phones currently? How are you routing things in Sonar and what are you plugging your mic into?
     
    If you set the pan on the recording track to centre you should hear the mic signal equally in both earpieces, but this isn't stereo!

    Yeah, I confused terms, and panic'ed before double checking and It WAS set to stereo, thus only coming out the left headphone as input 1.
