SONAR 2017.04 - additional PRV issues

1. PRV: discontiguous track selection broken. Cannot select discontiguous tracks for simultaneous viewing by holding the CTRL key and clicking on track number. (ref. http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=EditingMIDI.10.html#1456271)

2. PRV: PRV snap override is always re-enabled when a new PRV view is opened. This may be intended, but does not match historical behavior.

    There seems to be a couple of strange things going on here that may or may not be intended (kind of hoping they aren't). The PRV discontiguous selection is broken from within the PRV selector as zrapture pointed out. Also, if multiple tracks are selected in track view and opened in PRV, any changes in track selection made in Track view are also reflected in the track selector inside PRV (as you would expect). If the selection is changed in the PRV selector however (auto lock is off), the change is not reflected in track view. As a result, you can only view a track individually by clicking it twice within the PRV selector, and as soon as you select any other track, all of the tracks originally selected in Track view are re-selected in the PRV and displayed as well. In order to rectify this you must return to track view and de-select all tracks.
     
    Perhaps I am missing something important as to how the new PRV selector interacts with sections made in track view, but this seems a bit off.

    Re: #1 - Ctrl+Click seems to be working fine to select discontiguous tracks for us here as described in the help.  We'll ping you for more information.
     
    Re: #2 - I'll need to double-check with development.  It may now be by design.
     
    Re: TenFoot's comments on TV track selection behavior and it's impact on PRV, that is being tweaked more for the final release as other's have found the behavior inconsistent.  To summarize in the final release if you want the PRV to show what you have selected in the TV you'd enable View > PRV > Filter to Selection on Open, then open the PRV.  Optionally if you want the PRV to show what is in your PRV Filter, you'd uncheck View > PRV > Filter to Selection on Open , then open the PRV.  
     
    TenFoot, thanks for the confirmation of the original post.  Also please post a new thread if you have additional issues.  We like to lock these threads before too many issues glom on and something critical from the original poster get's missed.
