SONAR 4 & M-AUDIO DELTA 1010-LT

I am currently using Sonar 4 with Creative Sound Blaster Audigy. I am planning to buy a pro-sumer soundcard to replace my SB Audigy. I am considering to buy M-Audio Delta 1010-LT which has a 10 in - 10 out interface.

Anybody here uses the same setup? Will these two work great? I know M-Audio is Pro-Tools ready, but I want to use Sonar instead.

Any comments?

I had SOundblaster Audigy ZS Platinum Pro before. Then I installed Delta 1010LT. But I had trouble making them work together. SB Audigy was using too much ressource, so I had to get rid of it....But one major difference I noted between the two is the fact that Delta allowed me to record sound and the clipping zone was much higher- meaning that I could record sounds at very high level without clipping- whereas I always had to control the volume of the instruments when I used SB Audigy. SO in the end, your music will sound more powerful because of this!!! It's a good card and works well with SOnar 4 PE, don't worry!!

That's what I plan to do. To replace my SB Audigy with M-Audio Delta. I will transfer my SB to my video ediiting computer.

i'm currently using a 1010LT without any trouble... performance and sound wise every thing has worked like a charm so far... i've had it for about 3 months and have no complains...
on the other hand having all those cables in the back of the pc can be a bit annoying unless you keep all your stuff plugged in all the time... at least it is for me...

but hey maybe i'm just being picky... it is a great card... go ahead you will find your self considerably happier with your new card...
pd: and yes i use Sonar 4 PE

You should have no problems using the two together. The most important thing is setting things up right (Delta mixer app. levels, etc.). Once you get that the way you want it you'll be on your way.

Zero problems here. The 1010lt is the best card for the money that i know of. I've been thru upgrades Sonar 3.1.1 - 4.0.3

If you're gonna record drums or guitar amps, i'd advise setting the jumpers down 1 level in attenuation of the XLR connections.

Don't forget that with this card, you need a good audio system to monitor the out signals!! There is no headphone out integrated with this card like with the Audigy, so either you need to get yourself a headphone amp, or an amplifier with headphone, and that would be essential when you are recording acoustic instruments and vocal!!
