SONAR 4 MIDI problem

When SONAR loads, it places a tiny keyboard and two red LED lights in the tray at the bottom of the screen. Assuming that all cables are in place and my MIDI keyboard is on and the MIDI cables are clearly plugged in because they worked a week before and the MIDISPORT indicates a signal and it too is connected and NOTHING has been moved or disconnected since it worked before: why does the "input" LED in the tray not light up and why is there no signal passed into SONAR 4?

I TRULY BELIEVE THIS IS NOT A HARDWARE CONNECT PROBLEM, but I sure don't understand what to fix in the configuration or the software or the ???

I have a MIDISPORT UNO and had this trouble. I had to reinstall the drivers something like 2-3 times and perhaps go into the registry, etc. before I could get the device to work again. Haven't had any troubles since.

Is the MIDI echo in Sonar correctly set for your config?
