SONAR 4 PE & Session Drummer 2

Hello all!  Got a few Session Drummer 2.0 questions.  I can buy it from the Cakewalk Store for $10:

http://www.store.cakewalk.com/b2cus/ProductInfo.aspx?productID=10-CPHH1.00-20E but I have a few questions about it:

1. I assume it's a VST.

2.  SONAR 4 comes with Session Drummer - (version 1.0 I guess).  Will Session Drummer 2 work as a VST with Sonar 4 PE?

3.  Will I get the latest version od Session Drummer 2?  A post a few years ago indicated that the CW store was sending out an older version of SD 2.0

Looks like CW fixed a few bugs in SD 2.0 per the relese notes of  SONAR 6.2:

I know I'm WAYYYYYYYYY behind on SONAR versions  but so far SONAR 4 PE has done everything I need and it's really fast on my dual core PC.  4 GB of RAM is plenty for it.  I'm not ready to move up yet.

And I'm aware that SD 3.0 is only available for SONAR 8.5 and above.

Thanks all in advance!

I just looked and in my Sonar 7 VST folder and Session Drummer 2 is in there so yes, it is a VST. I kind of doubt if anyone left hanging out here has experience with versions as old as 4. Is there not a upgrade history stashed on this site somewhere??

Can't tell you with absolute certainty, but I'd be very surprised if SD2 didn't work just fine with SONAR 4. And yes, it should be the final build that you receive, with all the cumulative fixes.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Bought SD2.  Downloaded it to a network drive.  After solving a PIA network issue (not SONAR's fault) I was able to copy the download to the DAW.

Installed SD2 without any issues to Sonar 4 PE as a VST.  Works like a charm.  I was even able to get some noise out of it.

Question:  How do you find the version of a VST?   SD2 dll properties says it's at 1.0.0.41.  Was that the final version?

    It installed to C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\VstPlugins\Session Drummer 2\

The file name is SessionDrummer2.DLL with a date of 10/26/2006.  Catus Music, could you check your Sonar 7 install and see what file date & version you have?

So I can say thus far SD2 seems to work fine with Sonar 4 PE.  Well worth the $10 price!

    Thanks!
