And it sounds like with the level of customizability they just went way beyond making it "better"... can't wait to get more detail...

I really like the ordering process and getting the SN/Registration keys sent on the spot once the product is ordered. I remember previous versions of Sonar had some small fiasco with the SN/Registration keys. (software shipping days before keys are released, ect...)

If you want the iZotope Radius stretching that Sonar has included, you'd better add $399.99 to the price of Logic. That makes logic $898.99 to get closer to Sonar's feature set, and it still aint there. No contest.

Interesting too that Logic's new feature set could easily have been pasted straight out of the Sonar 5/6 "What's new" section

The page went up at 5:00. Ordered mine at 5:17. This is like being 10 years old again a week before Christmas. I'll need drugs to get to sleep. Just like when I was ten.

Is ACT duplex now? I really miss this feature... It's just nice to have feedback on control surface...

I am ordering on payday. Sonar 7 Producer is everything I was hoping for and more! I am very excited and happy.

I bought a new computer recently ( with core2duo) and sonar 6 runs smooth now, just like sonar 4 did om my computer before this one...

so how hard will SONAR 7 squeeze my new computers balls? :)

one more question, when I have selected a track on the track view, is the same track visually highlightet or outlined with a clearly visible color on the console view on the same track?
it has been little hard to find the same track on the console view since Im using dualscreen...

Someone earlier posted on the forum that this list will only disappoint if it doesn't inlcude what we want. If I wanted it my way, I would've became a software engineer and made it my self (I'm a network engineer in the day, musician at night). Cakewalk sets the standards here, and I'm damn PROUD to be a Cakewalk products user.

whats good man long time no see!!! if it doesnt auto quantize i'll pass. i have a capable set up - but i'd really like to do everything in sonar. the midi side of 5pe is aweful compared to fl and it kills my inspiration, i remember you use to try to get me to look at live. i did & its akward to me. so now i bounce everything out of fl studio track by track into sonar. i mix - track vocals & master is 5pe - fl doesnt like emulator x2 that much. fl's workflow w/midi is awesome, man i hope cake doesnt let me down! i not buying til i find out about the quantizing though!!!

Name your tracks... use the track icons.. makes life easier in the sonar environment. And, yes, you select in the edit view, and it will be selcted in console view.

It may be risky but I ordered it without even reading the new features list.

They put almost everything i wanted in this one upgrade; sidechaining, cdburning,midi improvements. I am EXTREMELY impressed and more convinced now then ever that this is the BEST daw around, and that Cakewalk strives for the highest quality and top dog status, and that Cakewalk TRULY hears the requests of their customers. I'm mind blown!

Darn, I just bought Z3TA+ this summer too not to mention that I bought Rapture last summer. I wish I could get them to take off a little more off the price of my upgrade from Sonar 6 Producer's edition. I'm not demanding it, I'm just wishing.

It works great. It's really easy. Every midi track has it in it's parameters now. You just set it and record. That wasn't originally part of Sonar 6. It was added in the 6.2.1 update.

It works great. It's really easy. Every midi track has it in it's parameters now. You just set it and record. That wasn't originally part of Sonar 6. It was added in the 6.2.1 update.

Nice feature set,,,, I'm in, for sure,,,, I'm wondering if there are improvements to the loop audition,,, I don't see anything listed about it.

I remember that some of us bought Boost 11 before it was known to be included in Sonar 7 and we were told that we would be credited the difference when S7 comes out. I already ordered S7, will Cakewalk automatically deduct the price for Boost 11 or do I have to call?
