Does V-Vocal 1.5 have any improvements/fixes in addition to the new pitch to MIDI feature?

ORIGINAL: SleepTyght And if you want an audio editor to accompany Sonar then you'd better add $300 to its price for Sound Forge. Or you could get Goldwave for, what is it, $45?.

It was the issue with DFHS when trying to save the mono synth output tracks in a track template, it reverts them back to stereo. Here are a few threads explaining it better. http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.asp?m=994736 http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.asp?m=960705 http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.asp?m=1091745 Thanks! JD...

I just searched this post (every page) for CAL and couldn't find it. Is CAL still supported? I live in constant fear that it will be dropped. Does anyone know? Thanks

I guess I'm not going to be a brown noser in this thread. I'm not sure I want to pay $229 because I balked at Sonar 6. What happened to the upgrade to Sonar6 get 7 free deal for LOYAL Cakewalk customers?

If you mean velocity compression, you've always been able to accomplish this destructively with the Event Inspector Toolbar. (I did a somewhat entertaining video to demo this once). Besides that, drum maps have a per-row velocity scaling and offset as does the new Step Sequencer. ORIGINAL: Lin This is fantastic! I almost hate to ask, but..... - is there MIDI compression yet?

finally sidechaining.. seems like an almost complete software-package, with every update I ask myself how it was possible to "work" with previous versions.. a lot of features have been added that I don't want to miss anymore.. Sonar is becoming, more or less, an "all in one"-solution.. I like that, although most of us have already upgraded their (missing) softsynths/plugins in the past with cakewalk or 3rd-party-products.. so it's kind of a pain to see that previous investments could have been avoided when seeing the feature-list of Sonar7. I've been waiting and asking for an integrated burning-feature.. great that that's been adressed now, although I wish that there'd be the possibiltiy to burn surround-projects (DVD-Audio or a more compatible DVD-Video format) within Sonar, but that might be adressed in future versions. anyway, great job ! According to Cakewalk... "SONAR 7 Studio Edition features all the unmatched music creation tools found in SONAR 7 Producer Edition with the following exceptions: LP-64 Linear Phase Equalizer, LP-64 Multiband Compressor, VC-64 Vintage Channel, Roland V-Vocal VariPhrase technology, Z3TA+, PSYN II subtractive synth, Pentagon I analog synth, RXP groove instrument, Perfect Space Convolution Reverb, surround mixing, Sonitus Surround Compressor, POW-r Dithering, MPEX-3 Time Stretching. In addition, AudioSnap in SONAR 7 Studio Edition is limited to one track at a time processing." So the question is should I upgrade to Sonar7 Producer or should I stick with Studio? Anthony

EXCITING: Integrated Step Sequencer Smart MIDI Tools Multilane controller editing in Piano Roll view Internal sidechaining mastering comp AND NOW FOR SONAR 8 *PLEASE* A state of the art system for working w/ audio loops. The current toolset: loop explorer / loop construction view / cyclone -- quite frankly sucks. ableton excels in this area and sonar is way way behind. in fact i'd like to see live performance w/ sonar attacked overall -- sonar has some amazing capabilities in this area, but it needs buffing up for sure. ANYWAY, I will be ordering P7 as there's a lot of great stuff there. A big thanks for listening to your user base more effectively than any software company i know.

Hi, Just a couple of questions (pardon my newbie-ness): The "Roland V-Vocal VariPhrase technology" that is missing from the Studio Edition - is that something like "autotune" and is the entire tool omitted or just the "VariPhrase technology," whatever that is? Also, could you please post the system requirements? Or at least how they compare to the already posted requirements for Sonar 6? Once again, sorry for the stupid questions - I haven't used a full version of SONAR longer than a few hours, but judging from the excitement around here - this may be a time to start.

Darn, I just bought Z3TA+ this summer too not to mention that I bought Rapture last summer. I bought +Z3ta l ast week. Given that the download price is well over half the upgrade price from S6PE to S7PE, I am feeling not so good about the value for money aspect of this upgrade. In principle, it seems no different to the situation of someone who bought S6 last week, and they get a special deal, so I am hoping that CW will find a fair way of handling this.

Does Reason still show up with L&R channels on each rewire channel [if all synth outputs is selected when inserting Reason as a rewire device], despite these being MONO outputs from Reason?
