SONAR 8.5 / EDIROL PCR-500 - WON'T RECORD MIDI CONTROLLER DATA

i must be missing something simple... REASON works great with the PCR500 - no problem it works great with SONAR 8.5 - it integrates well & i can call up the right d-map for each synth plug-in & hear all the changes i make with the knobs & sliders but it WON'T RECORD the controller changes - only MIDI note/Pitchbend & mod data i hooked up a PCR-M50 & SONAR records the controller data i hooked up an M-audio Radium & it works what gives?? i have all the right boxes checked & enabled i can't seem to locate any presets for the PCR-500 either

    Symptoms point to PCR-500 not sending controller data from anything other than the Mod wheel. This probably belongs in the Hardware subforum.

    SONAR Platinum x64, 2x MOTU 2408/PCIe-424  (24-bit, 48kHz)

    the PCR sends controller data to REASON fine & i can record my filter sweeps/etc. no problem... it sends controller data to SONAR synths no problem - SONAR just won't RECORD the data it seems to be a SONAR thing - i upgraded to X1 & it's the same problem...

    Well if your using X1 you might get a better answer in the X1 forum, this is for the older abandoned versions. I don't know where things are in X1 but there is the MIDI options dialog which has toggles etc for controller data, but sounds like you are beyond that.

    this is wat im asking for, is being able to assign macro ctrls to envelopes ive created to control reason parameters, you can create evelopes in sonar that control reason parameters, by going to the edit filter and sending midi cc out to reason, you need to use reasons midi implemetation chart
