PFFFT - I would have to start putting forum folks in my WILL to repay them for the countless things I have learned (been rescued) from the folks here. :)
What would be best would be for you to take some time on a recurring basis to cruise through threads in the different forums, and when you see one where you have some idea of how to help that person - jump in and do so.
It's that whole paying it forward concept. That's what so many of the folks in the Cakewalk community do so well - and it is a HUGE asset, where pretty much as long as folks are willing to engage in the problem analysis/resolution process, and try to do their homework too - the folks here often bend over backwards to help others. We are all trying to learn and do the same kinds of things, and working on it all with a spirit of cooperative partnership is incredibly helpful.
As you encounter new things in Sonar that you are trying to figure out, or have new issues pop up along the way - you can fairly often find that others have experienced similar situations, or have posted about a given subject, here in these forums, so learning how to search the forums will GREATLY assist you with both resolving issues and with just learning how to do things in Sonar.
Please note that the forum's software search pretty much blows chunk, but Google searches with some added filters work VERY well at returning concise search results.
So, if looking for info on an issue with the Now Marker scrolling very oddly or not at all, just searching Google for:
Sonar Platinum Now Marker Scrolling
Returns about 1.5 MILLION results. Not so good.
Adding the following filter to the Google search (site:forum.cakewalk.com):
site:forums.cakewalk.com Sonar Platinum Now Marker scrolling
Returns around 400 results - as it tells Google to only search the Cakewalk forums for the search terms Sonar Platinum Now Marker scrolling
There are also zillions of YouTube videos on just about anything you wanted to do in Sonar, as well as the Sonar tutorials, the Sonar documentation, commercial books and videos.
So, hopefully, some of the above will further assist you in learning about using Sonar to create/produce music, and if you too can help others out with their issues, like the others in these forums, then you too will help strengthen the community, completing the Circle of Fifths/Life.
