SONAR ARTIST: split stereo track to 2 mono tracks

Any advice on how to accomplish the following - split a stereo track to 2 mono tracks...I have no need for one of the tracks, it is just static that (if summed to a mono) will create unnecessary and annoying noise. Thanks!

    Track View Tracks Menu > Bounce to Track(s) w/ Channel Format set to "Split Mono"

    on the track you want to split, hit send and create two Aux tracks set one send to left and one send to right..
    Set the Aux tracks to record. hit record. you may need to try it a few times to get the levels you want.
