SONAR - Akai APC 40 integration

Hi,

I've just bought an Akai APC 40 controller, and i'm trying to integrate with SONAR, but there's no plugin listed for it (in the controller plug-in manager)

Does somebody know where to donwload an "spp" file in order to use the APC40, from within SONAR.

(I'm using SONAR 7)

Thanks for your suggestions. I've already did a google search (nothing relevant), but it's a good idea to contact Akai

I have tried both ways, by inserting an ACT MIDI controller and by inserting a CAKEWALK GENERIC MIDI controller.  The ACT MIDI controller gives track control, but I have trouble using what is considered the "plug-in" knobs in ABLETON.  When I turn on my computer the next day, it's like I have to go through the "LEARN" mode all over again.

The Cakewalk Generic Midi Controller has been "OK" for use.  It took a little bit longer to set it up.  I had to set it up strip by strip.  The setting held better but comes with its own limitations.  The lights on the APC40 do not correspond to what you see on screen except on the pan knobs.  Those are reasonably close.  SOLO, RECORD, MUTE --- these will work just fine but you have to go by your monitor rather than the APC40.

I have not tried using the matrix view and the cell triggers yet.

For some reason Sonar "forgets" the assignments from time to time and when I start going through them again, I just get frustrated as can be... but it is possible to get some control.
