Have you installed english version of Sonar 8.5 ? With my french version, it doesn't work, so perhaps it comes from that.

when you open the TTSRES file with a program such as restorator, it has sub directories, the images are in one called bitmap in the english version. I'm assuming for each language version of sonar, the directories in the file change accordingly which is why the patch doesn't currently work. If you want the faders, I guess you have 2 options at this moment in time: install the english version of Sonar 8.5 or download restorator, open the TTSRES85 file and edit the images yourself and patch them into the file. If you do the patch in a trial version, BE WARNED it affects the whole of sonar because the file also contains all the dialog boxes Sonar uses and renames any tabs and dialog box headers with the restorator trial.

I wish to thank Buddy (Sam) for the meters he did. I must say I feel very special that Buddy made those meters to my specifications. It was a lot of work that has been well received by me. They look beautiful. I wish I could thank Buddy in a more tangible way. I hope he knows now that his work is very much appreciated. Thank you Sam.

Hey John - maybe you could trade talents for a project he's working on? Or maybe Buddy could setup a paypal account (free) and accept donations from appreciative people.

Speaking of color schemes - does anyone know if there is such a thing as a color picker tool that lets you pick a color from somewhere on the screen and apply it to Sonar's color chart so you can use it to match colors in Sonar?

No problem! The colors don't always translate perfectly when you input them into Sonar (as far as the exact color number goes) but they look close enough. Seems like the color palette in Sonar is somewhat limited. Take care!

Seems like the color palette in Sonar is somewhat limited. Take care! Garrrr... I just found that out the hard way I was trying all different things to get the colors to match up including typing in the exact numbers (which is the only way to do it from what I can tell other than try to drag that crosshair around until you get close). You can type in all the correct color numbers but when you try to change the hue and those other input fields the color numbers change to something else. Ugh. It's never easy :-) Anyway, thanks again. Close enough in Sonarland is good enough I guess. Didn't have to be perfect. I even tried to find an INI file that might have those values in hex so I could just copy the exact hex code but I didn't see where the colors are stored unless someone else knows?

Larry, If you go to Sherwin Williams' website there is a tool there called the Color Visualizer. http://www.sherwin-williams.com/visualizer/index.html When you open this link click on "Explore Interior Colors" Now you can see all of Sherwin Williams color palletes and groups. When you click on one of the swatches you will see the RGB properties of that color. Those RGB values can be directly applied into Sonar's color options with nearly identicle results. I was able to come up with some very pleasing color combinations for my clips along with other spects of my preset. In the end I am really happy with how Sonar looks. I was able to make it easy on my eyes while making everything clearly visable. Good luck,

BUG! Color's doesn't work correctly in SONAR 8.5.1 , 64bit. Some settings doesn't get change or remembered? also... Other bugs...The Values and all Bus-Text in console-view are all blurry in SONAR 8.5.1 compair to 8.3.1. And not just console all values and text of tracks and so on... All menus are fine inside SONAR 8.5.1! Please, this is seriously Bug/Problem, becuse you can't work... you get headache.
