The Gel meters replace the segmented meters. The color transitions are only to show different dB ranges.

I'm confused, Trying to use the rounded faders for 8.3. Your readme says to point to the correct file, so I am adding C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\SONAR 8 Producer Edition in front of the file, but it won't let me type all the characters. Am I that useless?

No need to enter any path. Just make sure you make a copy of the TTSRes file and rename it in case you want to go back. HTH.

You are very right Jose; it's been a while since I did that and forgot about the "auto save". But I tend to be overly-cautious nowadays when installing products and generally make backup copies of things before proceeding. Thanks.

I wanted to post a heads up here in case anyone else runs into this problem. The Alree Gel Faders screw up my install of Sonar 8.5.2. Sonar runs perfectly, but after I installed the Arlee Faders, Sonar crashes every time I click on the Matrix view. Also, Buddy's button faders don't work in 8.5.2. It keeps telling me that I'm using the wrong version or the wrong file.

Make sure you're using the 32 bit version for Sonar 32 bit and the 64 bit version for Sonar 64 bit. You're probably not matching the bit versions and thus why you're getting that error message. HTH

Buddy did a great job in making it fool proof. I just installed the rounded faders and it couldn't have been easier. This is on Sonar Pro 8.5.2 64 bit under Vista.

Would it be possible to ask how or where you extract the graphics when you change different looks buddy? I'm trying to find the folder but there are only instrument icons in those... Perhaps they are hidden in some dll's or something?

Mine is named the same, except it doesn't say Rounded and I have the 64 bit version. This is what it is called: "Buddy110_Sonar8.5.1_TTSRES85_x64.exe" It works, at least for the 64 bit version of Sonar. You may need to contact Buddy. Sorry.

I'm trying to use the 32 bit version of the 8.5.2 rounded faders, and it doesn't work. I have to reinstall anyway, so I'll update to 8.5.1, use the rounded faders, then apply the 8.5.2 update.

As soon as you update to 8.5.2 you'll lose buddy's changed faders. Running buddy's fader replacement routine has to be the last change you make. I have SONAR 8.5.2 x86 & x64 installed and was able to successfully update to buddy's rounded faders in both.

Sorry guys, been away from the PC thanks to stupid Gastroenteritis! Darktrax: they are "injected" into the TTSRES85.dll file with my patch. so there is no folder for these particular images (OMG, wouldn't that be great!) ok, for those of you having problems with the older patch, I've uploaded a 32-bit (x86) Rounded Faders patch for 8.5.2 - See my signature for the link. Pity a single patcher can't update both the 32-bit & 64-bit versions and be update independent.

fitzj Buddy110 Thanks a lot John....you're most welcome! I've made 2 different meter sets for sonar 8.x and widened them out slightly to give a more solid/dominant effect, etc "Cool Blues" "Cool Blues v2" "Classic Greens" - Sonar 8.x - "Cool Blues" - Sonar 8.x - "Cool Blues v2" - Sonar 8.x - "Classic Greens" Let me know if there are any issues with these...getting a little crazy to compile between the sonar versions. Enjoy! xD - Sam Buddy is it possible to update these as well? Actually this post is directed at Sam (Buddy) ... These coloured meter sets don't work for for 8.5.2 (32bit), even though they have "8.5.2" in the filename on extraction ... just FYI. EDIT: Error message is the usual "... using the wrong version or the wrong file". Would be nice to get them updated sometime. Thanks. EDIT #2: The "Rounded Faders" install worked great. Thx.
