Hi buddy and thanks for the cool faders and meters! do you have, or is there any way you could make the stock sonar 8.5 fader with your green meters? I like your classic faders but i think im just use to seeing the stock sonor 8 faders (caps) but i love the green segmented meters! Anyway if you have or can cool, if not, no big.
Thanks for your time,
Tommy

OK guys, I've consolidated my Patches into two 'PatchPacks' on my site. Faders & Meters combined. Easier to Keep track of them that way. Versions supported are Sonar 8.3.1 (32-Bit & 64-bit) and Sonar 8.5.2.222 (32-Bit & 64-bit). 40 manually replaced images in a total of 16 different patch files as it currently stands. So take your pick, etc.

I've made a new, more detailed version of my "Classic" fader (all nice n' shiney!).

They should work fine for everyone. Just remember to back up your DLL file first (instructions included in the patchers as always)

Check the link in my Signature!

- Sam

How can I get these fader buttons in 8.5.3?

Once you've uzipped the file, copy the "patcher" to your SONAR directory (probably C:\\Program Files\Cakewalk\Sonar 8.5 Producer...

You'll see a file in that directory named "TTSRES85.dll"...As stated by Buddy, backup (or rename) the existing file before running the patch...Run the patcher from with that directory...

Wait, wait, wait! I gave you wrong instructions...Do NOT rename the original file otherwise the patcher won't work...Sorry...The patcher will automatically create a backup "TTSRES85_backup.dll" should you wish to revert to the original...Sorry for the misunderstanding...

Vista 32 bit. I put the Buddy110_PatchPack_Sonar_8.5.2.222 (32 bit) in my Sonar 8.5 Producer folder, press the start button of patcher and I get this message: "TTSRES85.DLL" is not the right fil to patch! (or wrong version)(while reading TTRES85.DLL...)

Hi all:

Twisted...:

You also have to go to Options/Audio Meters in SONAR and checkmark Segmented meters for Console and track view. I didn't know, either, but Buddy told me.

Hope that helps.

Still get the same error message, thanks anyway bro, And papa I dragged the patcher to the folder instead of copying it because they're on seperate drives (where I store updates and program folders that is) but that can't be the problem can it?

This isn't working for me in the 32-bit version of Sonar 8.5.3 either, although the 64-bit version works. The 32-bit installer says that it is the wrong version. I think maybe if you already installed the Buddy meters prior to upgrading to 8.5.3, the installer will continue working because it is really looking at the patched 8.5.2 file, not the one that comes with the 8.5.3 patch. That is just a guess though.

The error I get is:

"TTSRES85.dll" is not the right file to patch ! (or wrong version) (while reading TTSRES85.dll...)

Bummer....

Don't know what's wrong. I'm running Win 7 64 and SONAR 8.5.3 x64 and the patcher worked for me, too. Maybe Buddy will be around to help you.

By the way, what error message are you getting, and do you get it when you try to use the patch or when?

Silk: I had to re-patch Buddy's meters/faders after updating to 8.5.3 so I don't think that's the problem...

I don't know about that because I had to execute the patch after the 8.5.3 update, but it does sound like a issue that's Vista 32Bit windows specific.

EDIT:

Maybe not even Vista 32Bit specific because Silk had Win 7 64 Bit in his signature.

Maybe a SONAR 32bit specific issue.

I'd bet it's a SONAR 32 bit specific issue because Silktone in running Win 7 64, but he gets the problem with 32 bit SONAR.

Ah, OK. Not sure what is up with this in my case then.

@ thomasabarnes: I am using Windows 7 64-bit, so I don't think this is specific to Vista 32-bit.

BTW, the patcher I have is specifically for 8.5.2.222, and I got it from this page. Is there a newer patcher available?
