Papa,

I get the same errors as Silk and Twisted using XP32. I tried navigating Buddy's web page for the 8.53 patchers but none of the page links work. How were you able to find the 8.53 patchers?

EDIT: I see you ran into the same problem.

I don't think it's a bug, just seems like for the 32 Bit version of SONAR a updated patcher is need for 8.5.3.

Yes I think the 32-bit and 64-bit installers might do different version checking. Or maybe there is something specific in original 32-bit version that changed that is not present in the 64-bit version, and that triggers the message.

Or something...

Darn Good Question...I've just been too lazy to go in there and start installing everything and configuring..(hardware drivers, 3rd party softsynths and whatnot) but I AM going to do it. The fact that my 32 bit runs like a champ isn't making it any easier to get started.

I see...But if you move to 64-bit you'll be able to take advantage of your extra RAM (which is just sitting idle in the 32-bit environment)...I was a bit skeptical at first but now have no regrets...

You're right, you're right...I'll just have to man up and get it done, that's why this computer was dual booted in the first place.

It's not that painful...You won't have to reinstall all of the 3rd party plugins, just the ones that offer a 64-bit version (even then you could always use the ones currently installed with Bitbridge or Jbridge)...

Papa

Hey guys, I've updated my PatchPacks for Sonar 8.5.3 (32-bit), and added a dark colour scheme I made called "NightLife" (goes well with the packs IMHO). Sorry for the delay!

Link is in my signature as always.

Thanks, Buddy! I like the new color scheme, and I think it's a nice touch you added to have the clips pane show a lighted look.

Muchas gracias for your work.

Thanks Buddy and great work its very appreciated, im sure your very busy, but is there anyway if you get a chance, to make the theme with  green segmented meters but using the stock Sonar fader caps?  I think im just use to the way they look, but i love the green seg meters

Thanks Buddy,

I understand the coor scheme, but what is the Patch Pak all about?  When I save as, the extension ends in z.  What do I use to uncompress and what does it do?

Hi Larry, the patches are for tweaking the style of Sonars faders (replacing them with different graphics). You can see the screenshots in my signature link. I used 7-Zip to compress them. It's a free and OpenSource program. here's the link: http://www.7-zip.org/download.html

If you have the latest WinRar/Winzip you can also open them with that using "open with".

Hope that helps
