ORIGINAL: R!Soc I think the color cuztomization tool is missing an eye dropper tool. In apps like photoshop, there is a little eye dropper that you can click on anything on your desktop and the dropper will capture the color and make it your active color. That would be nice. In the meantime, here is a free little app called ColorPic that will allow you to do the same thing. You just need to copy the color that you select from a view and paste it into the color editor in Sonar. I use it all the time when working on websites. http://iconico.com/colorpic/

Thanks Dave. Just to give you all a heads up that there is a new scheme up from Saaricom, as ever you can download it from here: http://sonartemplates.googlepages.com If you have a colour template you'd like to share with the Sonar community all you need to do is email it to popworksATgmailDOTcom and it'll go up at the next available opportunity on the page above. For some reason, my track/clip colors all follow the color I apply to tracks or clips 8,18,28,... Background or foreground. Even when I select one of the Presets, all of my track colors are whatever the settings for 8,18,28... of that preset happen to be. This is weird. A little help? Thanx.

Nice work by everyone... Thanks for hosting the site as well... I've been playing with the colors a bit myself and came up with a few I like... The one I liked best however had a major flaw.... A few labels/icons become invisible and there doesn't appear to be any way to change them... For example, the color of the text in the tab buttons..... It's black... I wanted to work with a black background and can't find an entry for the color of this text.... Or the zoom control icons in the lower right frame.... If anyone knows of a way to change these (or another workaround?), please let me know.... I'll be more than happy to share these templates once they seem complete to me.... The one I'm using right now is pretty good as I've used the black background in the Console View... It works out fine there.... Thanks... Keni

Hey all, Another new scheme uploaded to http://sonartemplates.googlepages.com thanks to Keni Keep 'em coming boys and girls! Oh yeah just a couple of requests for submissions, please can you put your .clr file and screenshots (either in .png or .jpg format .bmp s don't seem to work) in a zip file. Gmail seems to have a habit of putting the contents of the .clr files 'inline' so I just get a mail with a list of parameters. Cheers Child

I noticed the save/load instruction page pertains to v6.2. Because I'm in the middle of a project (and very nervous considering the horror posts), I'm still on v6.1. Am I out of luck with themes? Thanks!

Dave, what console do you have in the middle of the Argosy? Going by the signature it's a Tascam DM-3200. I agree it does look like a nice setup.

Hello everybody, I just tried to apply some of the great color schemes collected on Rothchild's site but unfortunately none of them work for me. I am using the German version of Sonar 6.2.1 and maybe that's the problem. Does anybody know if the various localized versions use different file formats for color schemes (would be odd, I think) or something like that? My own color files are successfully read and applied but if I load any from the collection, nothing happens. Restarting Sonar doesn't change anything either. What can I do now? Marty

Marty Marty: Welcome to the forum. It's possible your post may have gotten lost in this color scheme thread as it has been fairly stagnent for a while - just a tip for your future posts. Regarding the import of colors - Select: Options - Colors and click on the import button at the bottom of the dialog box. Then navigate to the directory where you have placed the .clr files - if you have accomplished all of these steps and still nothing happens - that is confusing for sure. Let us know. -D
