Come on man. . . It's the holidays.

If you want to be self-promoting (if that's what your'e doing)  at least pick the proper venue rather than shove it in people's face.

Think about it please.

Shawn - if you think that's the best way, who am I to tell you differently.  I just ask people to think about how they feel before they impart things to other people without regard to how they feel.

Maybe I'm crazy :)

There ARE proper venues for you to do this .... I personally don't think this is the right one, but you will have to decide for yourself what you want to put out in the world.

My thinking is a bit like spam.  Do YOU respond to spam?  If not, what makes you think others willl?

And another thought:   If you invite someone to YOUR home and they throw up and destroy or disrespect things in YOUR home, woudl you buy/believe anything from them?
So - if what you have to offer the world is good.... let it be good.  And not lose your respect for others.  It only speaks about YOU if you do that.

I don't know if you'll agree or not -- but if I make you think for just ONE second about it... that would be ok for me.

I wish you well, regardless, Shawn.

I Wish you well too, I don't mean to offend just spark interest in SONAR and yes my projects also because they were made with SONAR. Maybe I should work for CakeWalk...I could be the #1 Fan. I like ROLAND also, my U220 is still in use after almost 20 years and works like NEW.

Shawn, I think it's great that you feel good and passionate about your work.  I do too.  But I try (not always so good at it, sorry to say) to be 'considerate' of others.

We have enough "shoving" at us in this world.

Frankly - if the way I perceived your post (the original one) was genuine and that YOU believed, I would have listened or taken heed to it.

I don't know if what I believe is right or wrong, but I do know that we, as people, need to at least stop the madness of approaching each other like we're being harvested.  I just think it's terribly unhealthy.

These forums have a very vibrant group (you''ve notice i hope? :)) --- so if you were to put your stuff out here in the right place (songs forum?  I dunno) -- you might be surprised at how much response you get.

OF COURSE if we shove things at people they will notice.  But how they feel about it just MIGHT make a difference.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, Shawn ... an old family saying:

"It's like the cow that gives milk and then kicks the bucket over"

Another saying I like:  "If you make someone _think_  -- that's a kind thing to do"

If you believe in your work -- don't shove it.  Offer it.

That's just my opinion, of course.  Yours may differ.

A category of post that has been the scourge of every bulletin board since the dawn of the internet. It's been considered as at the very least selfish, bad form since that time.

It even earned the well-known shorthand name SPAM.

So Shawn how does your common, opportunist spam show the originality to be called different?

And are you implying that Europe is somehow a lesser sub-species so that it's OK to dump your SPAM on them?  If it is then it is you that requires further education and not Europe as a whole.

I am sure you put that song here for feedback.
I listen for about 30 seconds .. it's boring and repetitive.
