how can I uninstall the demo, I'm not seeing the option in the command center or the program folder?

Just try right clicking on it in the Command Center, then select uninstall ?

I installed the professional demo. as it stands now, when right clicking on artist I get the download button, same goes for platinum so the right clicking menu seems to work for those two but when right clicking on the already installed professional demo, I get nothing

I believe you have to uninstall the demo from Add | remove programs in Windows itself.

I believe you have to uninstall the demo from Add | remove programs in Windows itself.
I already checked, it's nowhere to be found in the Program/Features section of windows. Control Center is here, and my Sonar 8.5, but no Sonar Professional

There might be an uninstaller in a folder under "C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Command Center\Cache\Uninstallers"
2 folders in there : Images and Product no uninstallers folder odd!

A quick follow up:
After I removed the Platinum Demo, my Plug in Manager had no VST Configuration. The "Options", " Plug in Properties" and "Scan VST Plug-ins" box were grayed out. A call to support revealed that "VstScan" in Program Files/Cakewalk/Shared Utilities was deleted somehow in the uninstall process. The solution was to download the X3 install files and reload. Since this was going to take from 2-20 hours, I decided to to a system restore which put the VstScan program back. Not a happy experience trying the demo.
How did you remove sonar platinum?

I believe that I went to the start/program where I could pick it and uninstall. It did remove the VSTscan program although to be fair, I might have been at fault. I have since reloaded the demo, this time NOT having it use my X3E preferences. It works well enough to do some testing. It does load faster, but for recording and effects it is much the same as X3E for me.

That is strange. Again, I reinstalled the Platinum demo NOT using my X3e preferences. Maybe that is the difference? Doesn't seem likely.......

I might as well ask this here since a few folks have mentioned the demo in an active thread I started about my desire to upgrade Is the SONAR demo a demo I have to uninstall when I buy the program so I can install the fully working program or is the SONAR demo a demo that will become unlocked and become a fully functioning non restricted program when I buy it and register it ? have a good one , Kenny
