I just got the e mail from Cakewalk and checked it out ....was gonna start a thread and i see this fred is here ... I'm so happy I held my ground  there was no way I could have swung the lifetime at $199 ( my price) before Aug 31 st .... Since Cakewalk has extended the offer until December 31st I may be able to pull this off ....maybe even this month  Kenny

Prices will never be this low again!" ads until next week when they run the same exact sale. Something tells me this will be around for a long time. Yep, certain library devs do this crap over and over to the point where their 'sales" mean nothing to me anymore because I know it will just be extended or happen again next month for Columbus Day. Then extended till Yom Kippur... but wait, may as well keep it up till Halloween. And we can't forget the Election Day sale which comes just days after the Daylight "Savings" Sale! Seriously, I hate sale tactics. Nothing pisses me off like those do.

actually there is a big difference. I paid $99 for the lifetime updates and now it is doubled... That's an increase, I'd say. If they extended the $99 offer to those that qualified, that's another story. People seem to continue talking like that's what theyve done. I held out until the end, so my one time upgrade payments where spread out as much as possible. Really was no sense in upgrading back in May, when the offer was good thru 8/31. And like many previous upgraders to SPlat, it was offered for 1/2 of what it is now.
