Ben in my book you can do nothing wrong. Things happen and we just deal with them as they come along.

I don't think you realize how we are in total admiration for you. A glitch is nothing except some here haven't been able to get hold of your latest work of art. That is the only shame.

Completely agree with John on this!  We'll deal with the problems as they come along - but don't beat yourself up just because there are a couple of problems.  no big deal!

...I could include the full .NET download in the setup program (so it wouldn't have to download it), but then the SONAR Plus download would just grow by 35Mb and you'd still have to download that! ...

Can you provide a link to a copy of the .NET update?  As I mentioned, I keep my DAW disconnected from the web.  I'd like to download the .NET file to my other computer, put the file on a thumb drive and then load it on to my DAW.

Edit:

I went to the Microsoft web site and downloaded this...is this correct?:

Yes, that one is fine, although there is a smaller version of .NET 4 available than that one. Here is the download link:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=e5ad0459-cbcc-4b4f-97b6-fb17111cf544

It's called the '.NET Client Profile', and it's basically just a cut down version of .NET for applications that don't need a lot of the extras that come with the full version. But, if you've already installed the one you downloaded earlier, it won't do any harm at all and I would leave it at that.

Once again, Ben, you amaze me.  You should be getting royalties.  I will make a donation, and I hope that others take advantage of your contribution to making X1 much better.

Thanks Lynn, and everyone else who has been so positive about SONAR Plus. Frustrating teething troubles aside, I'm very pleased with it! I'd quite like to draw a line under it now, for the moment at least, and spend some time on the new Skin Editor. I've one or two minor niggles to sort out first...

Yes, some people don't use the MultiDock much, so why not put the toolbar over the minimized MultiDock if that suits. I think most people put it immediately to the right of the Track View 'V-Vocal' menu option because that's dead space anyway.

Hi Ben, How are you?

Great new things with sonar plus 1.0 :)

1) Does Batch Freeze do the same as the freeze-snowflake button but to several selected tracks?
2) Your website is slightly outdated, and not updated to referr to Sonar 1. I'm sure you're aware of this, but wanted to remind you since I for example entered Sonar Plus' site for the info about batch freeze and thought I should point it out.

BTW - I've been muffled by life in the past week or two, hope we can talk soon about that project.

All the best, ZBBZ.

Hi ZBBZ,
1. Yes. Select the tracks you want to freeze, then click the Batch Freeze button on the toolbar and Plus handles the rest.
2 Yes, I did intend to update the website yesterday and today, but instead spent my time finding and fixing a few errors that were reported. I won't get a chance now until later in the week due to work commitments, but I will be updating it ASAP.
If you get chance to make a start on your project then let me know if I can help.
Thanks,
Ben

At the risk of giving you all 'update fatigue', version 1.0.0.6 of SONAR Plus has just been made available for download.

It addresses the following issues:

• Fixed 'Unable to find Control Bar window' error if Control Bar is floating on startup (reported by Beagle)
• Browser colour change on startup problem fixed (reported by Danny Danzi)
• Fixed Narrow/Widen strips problem with floating & maximized CV (reported by Panup)
• Fixed 'This is not possible because the MultiDock is not currently available' error on startup

There are no new features.

If you are using version 1.0.0.5 and are not experiencing any of these issues, then there is no need to install this update. To find out which version of SONAR Plus you are using, right click the SONAR Plus toolbar and select 'Check For Updates...'.

You can download it here:

www.sonarplus.co.uk/pages/downloads.aspx
A list of what's new in version 1 has also been posted on the downloads page.
Thanks,
Ben

Edit: It's likely that this will be the last update until SONAR X1b is released.

Hi Benstat,
I had trouble installing 1.0.0.5.  It was the net framework stuff.  It locked up 3 times.  I finally gave up and went to microsoft to install.  The 1.0.0.5 installed just fine.  I have no idea why net framework would not install from the app.  I would be glad for you to check my computer or something to see why.  I'm loving the app.  Thanks for the staff icon!!

Thanks again,
Max Arwood

Hi Max,

The installer has to download .Net from the web.
If the machine isn't connected, that's probably why the install failed.
