Hey thanks for making these. Nice work!-- They look great! Maybe Cake should include these in the Sonar packaging. I was thinking: you get these kinda goodies when you buy Pro Tools HD. At Orange Whip we had a mouse pad that had a lot of the frequently used Pro Tools shortcuts on it and it was very helpful. I will definitely print these out and keep them within reach.

The official download URL location is: http://www.errepici.it/web/download/SSRD_8.asp

There seems to be something wrong....
Is this an .htm file?
It's all garbled when I try to open it with Firefox or Opera.....

Thanks for reporting, there was indeed a little problem in the download code.

Now it should be ok with Opera too.

And thanks all for the kind words.

Cheers,
Mario

P.S. Brandon, if you are reading this, please update the "Helpful resources..." sticky by replacing the old thread link with this one.

I updated the sticky.

Thanks for this Mario - I know everyone appreciates the work you put into keeping it up to date and making it available.

The reason I like Opera is that I can save web pages as .mht files, which is just one file without a seperate folder for all the graphics.

I wish Firefox would implement this feature too.

I've been a hardcore Opera supporter for years, but then I discovered Firefox and its extensions... I made the switch in less than two days and never missed anything from Opera.

BTW, check this for handling MHTs in Firefox, looks promising...

You can do it, though it takes two steps. First, you need to find and install the "View this page in IE" plug-in for Firefox.

From then on, anytime you wish to save as a single-file web page:

-- Right-click on an empty space, choose "View this page in IE" option.

-- In IE, save as .mht page. (Of course, close IE when you're done).

It's a bit of a hassle, but unless you're saving dozens of pages daily, it's fairly quick, and worth the effort to keep things tidy.

Thank you very much for these.

Note that it works great for S7 too as all the v8 short-cuts are asterisked in red, so version 7 users like myself needn't miss out here.

The PDF's are excellent and scroll beautifully making them very useful.

Has there been any changes that we know of in 8.5 + that would make updating this useful? This is a great document btw!

Hello,

8.5 introduces many changes in that there are new views (Matrix View to say one) and probably also Audiosnap has several different shortcuts.

I am not currently using SONAR a lot lately and I'm thinking about a possible ship jump.

So, in short, don't expect very soon an official update in the guide.

I am also looking around for people that would like to go on mantaining the doc, actually there's a Microsoft Access database and some Access Reports that do it all, it's just a matter of adding the right records in the right tables :)

First off thanks for all your hard work in the past with getting the Reference document made.

What DAW host are you looking to go to may I ask.  Not trying to start any type of DAW War just curious with someone like you that took the time
to make the Reference document has got to have a good reason for switching.

Anyway thanks for your hard work again.

Hi Ed, and thanks for your kind words!

Well, there are lots of small reasons that made me look around; mostly, I was a little blocked by some problems in MIDI handling and Audiosnap, then I was a little frustrated for the fact that these problems weren't apparently taken care of and the increasing momentum for a different development model definitely played a role .

So, apart from Cubase that was interesting to me for its increased stability and value for money, but I just didn't want to get dongled, I started looking for products like Podium and the R* thing. And, the latter is the one that currently is catching a lot my attention, for high developer/marketing ratio, incredible customizability also pluginwise, strong focus on host functionality (bundled instruments are great but unnecessary now that over years I have built a fairly complete arsenal) and many more factors that I don't think are appropriate to discuss here.

Thanks again,
   Mario

Hi Mario,

I'm not sure if I would have time to maintain the Document... possibly.

But either way, would it be possible to get a copy of the Access database for my own use? Is it in Access 2000 format?

Thanks,
Scott

I just recently upgraded to Sonar 8.5 Producer from Sonar 7 Studio, and was wondering if most of these shortcuts are still the same,  as this was done a while back and it's for v8.3 and not 8.5  (?)

I was going to just print it all out, but then I thought...uhh... I better ask!

Thanks for any help
