Very nice ! Pretty weird that Brandon is using the mouse for almost every move though.

Yea, that damn mouse. That is why the 1st company that combines a touch screen w/ knobs and at least one fader will hit like gang-busters. You don't need to the touchscreen for control, just as a pointer. It should work so you touch a track or vst or vsti and that comes up on your touchscreen w/ the knobs around the screen and already assigned - act-like. Touch the EQ and your 6 bands are assigned. Touch Rapture and the 1st element comes up - knobs assigned. Touch Element 2 and the knobs are already assigned. That way you don't have to leave the controller, you can keep your track/mixer view on the main screen, and all the fidally bits pop up for control. @
https://soundcloud.com/a-pleasure-dome http://www.bnoir-film.com/ there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. 24 And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

ORIGINAL: Grent Very nice ! Pretty weird that Brandon is using the mouse for almost every move though. Yeah but to be fair I really wasn't mixing, editing or writing any automation. I was essentially just navigating around the project - and blathering.

Whoever recorded these tutorials for Remix should be ashamed of themselves - the audio is horrid! Wanders all over in level, and more often then not distorted. Maybe it was the same person responsible for the mix/master on the last Metallica album.

...I'm frustrated that NO videos of an actual recording session with the VS700 are to be found! Can someone point to at least ONE? I'd just like to hear at least ONE song cut with mics into this thing. The automation is freakin' awesome. But that's only a part of the reason I'd buy it.

And I'd love to see vids of this that don't include Brandon or any other Cake employees but real users and/or reviewers from magazines without Cake employees standing over them. I know Scott Garrigus is working on some things, but I'd like to see a reviewer from a mag like SOS, Recording or Electronic Musician have at this thing and post a video online.

Still, there has to be someone out there doing a vid on this beast. Given the reviews in SOS I've read in the past, along with their general editorial attitude, I'd pay good money to see their honest take on this.
