SONAR X1 + KonTakt + EMUPatchMix + Multiple instruments???

Hi, I have seen many posts about this issue, I've tried them all.. None of them work for me.   I am wondering if it is my soundcard that is causing the issue.

I'm trying to Insert Kontakt into a new project. I want to use multiple Instruments while using multiple MIDI channels and Tracks within Sonar X1. I haven't had any luck. Now, I can load one instrument and route to multiple tracks (Like a drum set... Bass St1, Snare St2..etc.. But, I cannot load more than one instrument. The only sound I get is the first Instrument no matter which track I click on.
I have tried creating the new Template, saved and re-loaded from scratch... assigning the outputs to the corresponding tracks....
Like  Piano : MIDI1 St1  ORGAN : MIDI2 ST2 assigned the outputs in Kontakt from the mixer.. and changing the tracks in Sonar to Match. I still get the same result.
Does anyone know of a post, or thread, or video, or manual, or know a guy who knows a guy who's second cousin is married to a guy who's brother-in-law knows a guy..  or whatever.. I need step by step instructions from someone who has actually got this particular setup to work.   (windows7, EMU1212m, Sonarx1Pro, Kontakt5.3)
Thank you.

Each loaded instrument in a Kontakt multi-rack will automatically get the next available midi channel assigned to it.

You need to make sure you add the correct midi OUTPUT channel for each instrument's corresponding midi track, to match that instrument's receiving midi channel, as set within Kontakt.

So, if in Kontakt, you loaded Piano, then Bass, then Organ, Piano would get midi channel 1, bass = 2, organ - 3, by default.  You also want to use the batch function in the Output Section in Kontakt, to clear all assignments and insert a stereo output for each loaded instrument.  (I also rename these to match the generic instrument, like Piano, Bass, and Organ).

Then, you would have in Sonar 3 midi tracks, one for each of the Kontakt instruments, and also 3 stereo audio tracks.

OK - now you play connect the dots.  After setting the midi output to Kontakt, set the Midi Output Channel for each midi track to match that of the loaded instrument in Kontakt.  This setting is on each midi track, just below the FX bin.

Then, set the audio input for each audio track to the appropriate output channel from Kontakt.

    Ta-Da....

Hi..  Thanks Robert for helping me understand.. It seems I was doing everything correctly... lol... Except.. I wasn't aware of that I need to actually click on the INSTRUMENT NAVIGATION to select between instruments.
I thought merely selecting the Track would produce the output. I wonder why noone has ever included that seemly important piece of instruction in the tutorials.. ?? LOL

Okay.. I'm not sure if I can do this again but, I did get it to switch between Midi Channels just by selecting the appropriate MIDI Track. This didn't have any effect earlier.  Also, it seems that when I freeze the synth for that MIDI track.. When I unfreeze I lose sound until I hit the record button... Dunno why... Might be my audiocard isn't set up properly. Anyway.. I do have it working. I hope I can do it again when needed.. hehe
