SONAR X1D in windows xp,what's going on with snap?Any help appreciated!

Hello everybody, this is my first post here ever although Ive been on board for ages.

I have a strange problem which really messes me up.
While in track view,I edit audio clips by changing the clip start trying to snap it to measure. While it looks like its ok,when I fully zoom in,the clip start never meets the measure vertical line! It's always a few bits away! This has an impact when copying the clip to another measure in the track with audible loss of synchronicity!
Up to 8.5 I didnt have any problems with snapping.
I've checked every possible solution in the forum and other corners of internet with no luck.
My snap settings are as suggested (Snap to,magnetic strength off, measure or whole checked, follow snap settings in preferences).

Anyone has an idea what to try?
Anything?d

I've noticed this with many previous Sonar versions but its only "visually" off when zoomed in full.  It doesn't effect sync/timing.

Two things: 1) if you zoom in really far, you are seeing individual samples. Then you will find that measure boundaries do not line up with any sample boundaries, so your clip will appear not to line up. 2) when copying, the length of your clip is just as important as the start time. So check both ends. .... OK, third thing: if you get clicks where clips are joined, it means your clip boundaries don't meet in a continuous waveform. A way to fix it is to be more surgical about where you cut them (e.g. 0 crossings) or sometimes a micro-fade at the offending end will help.

I agree that I wouldn't worry about the visual difference, but he said he had an audible difference, which I'm kind of perplexed by. Only thing I can think of is this. In X1, where you grab the clip from affects the snap. Can't remember for sure if pre-X1 was the same, but I don't think so. Anyway, if you grab a clip from the rightmost half, it snaps to the right edge, same for the leftmost half. Easy to slip up on that.

I was assuming the audible loss of synch was due to multi-copying a clip that is not exactly a measure long.

Thankd everyone for the replies.I think what John T suggested might be my case.I never really check where I grab my clip from (leftmost or rightmost?.
    I'll check this soon.
