SONAR X1-IMPORTING A FL STUDIO BEAT QUESTIONS

I have a somewhat simple question. I made a beat in fl studio and would like to import it into sonar to mix it down. I already know about splitting the tracks and exporting as a wave file. So my questions are, after making the beat should i leave all of the mixer levels at default...like basically when im making the beat in fl studio i may pull certain sounds down so they are the level which i want them in the beat.. When exporting should i turn everything back up?? strings, synths, etc? Looking at the fl monitor im noticing that my drums are clipping in the fl studio mixer. should i turn them down in the fl studio mix or wait to do that in sonar?

yeah you dont want your channels clipping, so get them all to a reasonable level (-3dB/-6dB), and render the tracks down from fl, and load them into sonar, even if some of the channels are lower than than, if you are rendering 32 bit float files then it will still be cool
